View from the top

Well, I have been at my new job now for a month, and its been a rather busy and chaotic time to say the least, with new routines to get into and new work challenges. 

I took these two photos with my new iphone4, from the little roof top garden of the building in which I work. Its set up with tables and chairs so we can go up here for lunch when the weather is good. 

I must say, I am enjoying working in town - lots of things happening and a great vibe about the place.

 

Cranbourne Races - Saturday 3 April 2011

Peter and I headed to Cranbourne on Saturday night to watch one of his young horses run. 

"One more smile" or "Socks" (which is his stable name) was running his first ever race and looked good in the parade ring before heading out to compete (that's him in the far left with the 'race-a-pacer' colours on.

He got to the front at the very start and things looked promising as he came around the final corner... that's him there in front! By now Peter was yelling loudly!

As they crossed the finish line he was again in front, right when it counted! That's him there tucked in behind No. 7.

Oh the joy of winning.... here he is with driver Chris Alford doing his victory lap.

After the race we went and visited him, he was resting up nicely and was very happy to get lots of attention and lots of pats from all the owners!.
